Under the warm hues of summer and a backdrop of vibrant arcade themes, the Asian SEED Academy of Technology successfully held its Third Mentors Meet Mentees event last April 11, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Luxembourg Hall.
With the theme “Arcade in Summer: Mentor Quest Begins”, the evening blended retro-gaming aesthetics and tropical flair to foster an environment of fun, openness, and meaningful dialogue between mentors and mentees. Attendees were encouraged to channel their “inner summer avatar”—sporting colorful prints, sunny styles, and gamer-inspired accessories that brought extra energy and visual excitement to the night.
The program opened with registration and a unifying SGEN Prayer, followed by a dynamic goal-setting session that set the tone for the evening’s purpose: to build deeper mentor-mentee relationships and encourage self-awareness, empathy, and growth. An inspiring video presentation titled “Don’t Put People in Boxes” reminded participants of the importance of recognizing individual uniqueness and breaking stereotypes.
Energy surged as the Student Council led the crowd in an engaging icebreaker, Sinetch Itey, followed by an upbeat intermission number, Pantropiko, performed by SC members. The highlight of the event, however, was the heart-to-heart mentoring session, where mentors and mentees gathered in circles to share stories, goals, and personal insights in a safe and affirming space.
The program concluded with a message of gratitude and encouragement from Mr. Arnel Montablan, who emphasized the value of staying connected and committed to the mentoring journey.
This event would not have been possible without the support of the Student Council, who provided technical assistance, and the passionate mentors who continue to guide students in their academic and personal growth.
The night was more than just a themed gathering—it was a celebration of connections, a commitment to shared journeys, and a reminder that mentorship, much like any great game, is best played with heart, humor, and a team that has your back.
